I’m Ruggero Eugeni, a Full Professor of Media Semiotics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Milan (Italy)

This website is where I share updates about my current research and projects. At the heart of my work is the idea of media experience — in other words, what happens when we interact with media devices. I see these experiences as shaped by history, culture, and technology, but also by our biology and evolution. They engage our senses, emotions, bodies, memories, intelligence, movement, and practical skills. In short, media experiences are complex, lived realities that call for equally complex ways to analyze them.
